2015 MUFC Annual Conference

MUFC logoUSDA Forest SErvice

Each year, since 1979, an annual urban and community forestry conference is held to address the latest resources, technology, and trends in community forestry. Issues such as greener neighborhoods and housing, legal issues, insurance issues, storm preparedness and mitigation, canopy benefits and studies, new programs, funding, orchards and many other useful, informative and timely topics are shared.

The conference includes local and national experts sharing information from around the country on multiple topics. Each year the conference has a focus area of green infrastructure.

Who should come: community leaders, elected officials, home and business owners, developers, engineers, arborist, Tree City communities, housing authorities, emergency managers, park and rec professionals and others wanting to learn more about community forestry and related issues. Continuing education credits are available for all professionals. Traditionally, the conference is held the first weeks in October of each year at a central location in Mississippi.

For current conference dates, registration and other information see our calendar of events or contact our office, Donna Yowell at or (601) 672-0755.
