"A Forest For All" - Annual Conference

The topics during this event include how to use green space and tree inventories to benefit your community. Learn how to use UFORE and i-Tree. National speakers will also present topics such as nature in the city, water quality, clean air, edible forests, energy conservation, social value of nature, sustainable site planning, comprehensive green planning, grants and resources. Much of the national stimulus funds are going for green initiatives, be prepared. Get all the latest information for your community, home or business.

"Shaping Public Policy Toward Trees" - 2 Seminars Available

More and more communities are embracing urban and community forests as a valuable part of their community. This seminar will teach you how to develop effective tree ordinances and landscape codes. You will also learn how to measure the benefits of trees, inventory these benefits and develop management plans to increase benefits. This seminar will feature the latest information, technical tools and trends in community forestry, the most critical element of green infrastructure. Learn how to ensure developing the best community possible for future generations. You will use an ordiance template to develop your local ordinance. The two day workshop costs $45, scholarships to elected officials.

"Urban Forest Workshops" - 5 Free Workshops Available

These one day free workshops will teach you the basics of tree planting and care. Topics include: planting, pruning, getting the most community benefits, right tree-right place, preparing for a storm, when to repair or replace, Firewise and others. These are free workshops to the general public and will benefit community leaders, home and business owners and others that plant and manage trees.
