The Mississippi Arboreta Trail is a free initiative available to communities across the state. Its mission is to enhance local areas, boost tourism, and support economic development by creating beautiful spaces for both residents and visitors to enjoy, learn, and experience nature. This program is entirely cost-free for any Mississippi community and offers complimentary trees, educational resources, technical support, and seasonal flowers and plants twice a year to participating cities. There is no fee for cities to join. Our goal is for communities to take advantage of this opportunity to not only improve their environment but also enrich the lives of their citizens, promoting growth, social well-being, economic development, and tourism. It is funded in part by the Mississippi Outdoor Stewardship Fund, the Mississippi Urban Forest Council, and local communities.
